Since brass is also used in the construction of espresso machines, some lead can be absorbed via the water for the espresso shot. Lead can\u2014depending on the amount\u2014have a harmful effect on health.
Even if an espresso only contains a few milliliters of water, we have tried to avoid such heavy metals during the design.<\/p>\n
For this purpose, we have looked for materials that are harmless to health as alternatives. For example, we use valves made of food-safe PPS or coated valves.<\/p>\n
The lead values are correspondingly low.<\/p>\n

A measurement directly after installation gives slightly higher values\u2014whereby the value 0.7 (the lead content of the drinking water) must be subtracted from both results.
